Additional Rules 2026

  1. Undue noise, offensive language and gestures, and any other form of unsportsmanlike behavior is not allowed.
  2. Team Captains can only assist players before they take up their stance at the Oche. Coaching players who are at the Oche is not permitted under any circumstances.
  3. The Scorer/Chalker must not tell a player what he/she is left with. He/She (scorer) can only tell the player what the dart score is, and what is on the board - not colour(s).
  4. THROW: The Captains, prior to commencement, shall warn teams concerned that ‘no score’ shall be declared if a player treads on or over the Oche. Chalkers/Scorers must take note of a player's stance.
  5. A player cannot step or walk over the Oche before completing his/her throw of three darts. However, a player will be allowed to pick up a dart even if it drops ahead of the oche before throwing.
  6. No drinking of alcoholic/soft drinks on the playing area; players must use reserved team areas for such purposes.
  7. Chalkers/Scorers to ensure both players are ready for the game so as not to stop the game midway for refreshments or use of the toilet.
  8. Postponement of games must be done with the H.D.A Fixture Secretary's consent. Any postponed match must be played within 7 days from the date of postponement, failure of which disciplinary action will be instituted.
  9. All scorecards must be scanned and sent to the H.D.A for processing.
  10. No compromises on darts rules.
  11. These rules and regulations are just a reminder; for a full explanation, please use the rule book.
  12. A clear photo of a scanned scoresheet must be sent soon after the game by both captains.
NB: Those with iPhones or high-quality cameras, kindly use them for easy transparency.
  13. Formal wear is required for uniform: formal trousers, skirts, and a collared shirt. Without this attire, no playing is allowed unless proper communication is made in due time between captains.
